Tom and Dolores

Now that the weather is warming up, we can feel spring in the air and summer is just a short time from now! We're in a great state of mind and enjoying all of the wedding excitement very much! No more PMS (Pre- MARITAL syndrome hahaha!) from us!

Being that I was off from work this week (yay!), we were actually able to get some wedding-related planning done! Go us!

What we did:

finalized flowers with the florist

booked our limo

booked our rehearsal & dinner

picked out tuxes

ordered invitations (which came in in THREE days! I think that must be a record! And they look great!)

So things are coming along! Almost done. 3 and a half months to go!!!!!

Well my wedding excitement has returned! Let me just say I have the best bridesmaids ever! I love these girls!

Today we all got together and it was great! We had the best time just talking and relaxing, and they were all able to get to know each other. We met for lunch and talked for hours about anything and everything.. it was just perfect! And they really got me excited about this wedding all over again =)

I'm so glad to have them with me as I'm getting married in EXACTLY six months... yay!! Less than half a year to go!!

AND, I know they're planning a bachelorette party for me... they sent me away to the bathroom so they could chat about it... so sweet... I know it'll be a blast!

Shout out to Grace my wonderful bridesmaid whose wedding is on July 12th... what an amazing month it'll be! So fun going through this together!

In other news, Pre-Cana starts on Wednesday. If I have to drag Tom to go look at tuxes this week, I will! All the little things (and some of the big ones) are being worked on now and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have to say despite some setbacks I've enjoyed the ride! In all honesty I haven't worked that hard on it.. and I think I'll miss the anticipation after it's over.

I'm sure I'll be updating soon with pictures of today!!

WHOA another bummer of a post...

In light of the fact that ANYONE could be reading this, it's been pulled.

In case you're wondering what the words of wisdom were, here it is in a nutshell:

1- Shorter engagements are sometimes more manageable.

2- Keep it as simple as possible to avoid getting in over your head.

3- I'm adding this one now... enjoy it, you only get to plan your wedding once in your life (hopefully)! =)

Hello to everyone and anyone who actually reads this (Hi Mom!)

It sure has been a while since we've updated!! But, as time passes, I'm sure we'll have more and more to write about.

Everything is going great and we're doing well. Keeping busy with the responsibilities of everyday life. Can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving!!

Time is truly flying. We've almost reached 8 months until our wedding! Wow! 2007 will be here before we know it.

We took a long break in our planning and we're now starting to get back into the swing of things. Most recently we've been meeting with florists and hope to have our flowers decided upon very soon.

Even more exciting.. we've chosen and ordered wedding rings! We love the styles we've picked out and the rings are being prepared for us right now! We'll definitely be posting pictures of them as soon as we get them. Dolores even has a surprise in store for Tom since she won't tell him what will be engraved inside his ring... he has to wait to read it until the rings are ready!

I want to let everyone know that today is Dolores' birthday! YAY!!! It will be a great day for her! I also told her it is her last birthday as a single woman! That didn't make her nervous at all! But seriously, I want to wish Dolores a super happy birthday.

Update!

First update is that the church and reception times have been changed to 3:30 at OLH, then over to the FT beginning at 7 pm. We figure that for a Friday wedding, later is better since some people may have to work that day.

Secondly, I'm making the call about Pre-Cana tonight, so hopefully we'll be able to register for the Fall session! If not, they also hold it once in the winter and once in the spring. Whichever we choose, we're in good shape!

Tonight we're going to see another photographer/ videographer. That is a tough decision.

I guess that's all for now!

LESS THAN A YEAR TO GO!!!!

Yesterday we hit the one-year mark!!! YAY we're very excited that in under a year, we'll be married!!! We'd better get crackin'... So much left to do!!! Time is flying!!!

We're pretty happy with our progress so far. Recently we have been checking out DJ's and working on our song choices, picking our readings for the mass, deciding on colors & flowers, etc. Hasn't been too stressful yet. So far so good!!!

In other good news, both Tom and Dolores have new jobs beginning soon!!! It's been an exciting summer so far, more to come!!!!

Wedding Dress!

There is some very big news coming from the engaged couple this week!!! Yes, Dolores has found the wedding gown she will be wearing for the wedding! She bought it and it is now hanging up in our closet. Of course, she won't let Tom see the dress and he has to wait over a year until he can see it!! Dolores hasn't told Tom much about the dress, just that it is white. I can tell you that Dolores was VERY happy when she came home with her dress in tow!

Also, T&D went on a trip to Lancaster County on a 1-day tour to see the Amish. It was a very fun trip that started with them getting picked up at 7:15am and not getting back home until around 9:30pm. They brought their digital camera and snapped over 50 pictures! There are about 13 they have posted online in a photo album and you can view them by clicking here.
