Hello readers!
Well, after a week off, I have returned. I will briefly mention right now last weeks Raw, which kicked major ass. I was there and the place was loud! Plus, the WWF pulled out all the stops, with run-ins (and returns) of Y2J and Undertaker. Overall, I'd say it was one of the best Raws this past year. I'd grade this bad boy a cool 95, now this grade is probably influenced by me being there, but that's my opinion of the show. Now this weeks Raw, can it compete with last weeks?
Well, it came close. There were two great surprises at Raw that no site i know of predicted. Kane turning heel, and Vinnie Mac returning. Okay so we don't know if Vincent K McMahon is back for good, but it was awesome he showed up nontheless. Kane turning heel has been hinted at, but no one thought it'd happen tonight. It was an excellent turn, as first he helped Taker out then by surprise slammed him through the ring! That was impressive.
The continuing storylines were great;y unfolded as well, especially the Angle/HHH/Steph angle with Vinnie Mac showing up. That was well done by the WWF. The Benoit/Y2J thing was predictable, but still good. The RTC angle being hypocritical was very acceptable. The Hardyz/ Edge Christian/ Dudleyz match has been announced too, a TLC match which should be awesome.
The wrestling was pretty good too. There were some bad ones (Guerrero/Venis- yawn), but overall a good night. The final match was well done, and the Undertaker/Benoit match was very good. Hardyz/ RTC match was also excellent.
Overall, the WWF built up it's storylines pretty well, and the overall match was good. I don't think the Raw was as good as last week, so my grade may be low b/c of "being-there last week Bias." For the predictable parts and some matches brought the show down a wee bit. I'll give the WWF a score of 88. That's the way I called it. I will have some more columns up shortly, about some assorted things in the WWF, and will as usual have my Monday night analysis.
