Hello loyal readers, today I will be discussing my thoughts on the WWF's Sunday Night Heat and Monday Night Raw programs.
*First Heat.... Heat was a very well-rounded show I thought. There were a few downpoints, but it was mostly good. I thought all but one match was solid in Heat. My one complaint is Sgt. Slaughter. Yes, he is a former WWF champion, but that was in 1991. He was a great wrestler, but his time is past. He is slightly overweight and I think he just doesn't have it anymore. I was pleased to actually see him beat Funaki though. As for the other matches, I enjoyed them. The Malenko/Too Hottie match was well done with some great wrestling going on between the two lightweights. The Bossman/Snow match was okay, but it would've been multiple times better had it been a hardcore match. The Test/Rikishi match-up was also enjoyable. I also liked the match Chyna/Val put on. Overall, it was a well-balanced show. The Mick Foley bits in the show were hilarious too, IMO. Overall, I'd have to give this Heat a grade of 86/100. That's not too bad for a "lower-end" WWF show.
*Now on to the big one, Raw is War. Once again, the WWF has put out an excellent Raw show. It was great top-to-bottom. I do have one minor complaint to get out of the way first, the HHH/Steph segment at the first 1/2 hour. It did get boring. Mick Foley coming out saved the segment so it was bearable. The matches themselves were great. The Guerrero/Chyna vs Saturn/Venis match was fun to watch and showed some great wrestling. The Rikishi/Tazz match was also pretty good, though Tazz has to start suplexing more. The best part was the HHH/Steph thing when Trish showed up and then HHH calling Steph Trish. I was laughing my ass off. Well to shorten this column, I'll say the rest of the matches were better than good, though we at Olympic Slam Wrestling felt that Our Olymic Hero was underused. On to the main event.... Rock and HHH have fought before, but this was different. This match also featured a very attractive Trish Stratus and a very hot Lita. The match was well performed and I loved the ending with HHH laying atop Trish. I'm sure HHH liked that! Anyway the Raw was excellent, and I'd have to give it a grade of 90. Awesome show WWF.
Well, that's all for now my hundreds (and hundreds) of fans, and until next time... Have a Nice Day!!!!
