The Main Characters
--Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is currently living in Goa, India with his girlfriend, Marie. He is enjoying it until someone starts looking for him again and he finds he has been set up for a murder he didn’t commit. Bourne stops being hunted and becomes the hunter, going after the same agency that he used to work for.
--Ward Abbott (Brian Cox) is the one in charge of the secret service and in charge of the missions Bourne ran. When Landy comes to him to re-open a case to investigate Bourne, he willingly agrees, and seems very nervous about the whole thing.
--Pamela Landy (Joan Allen) was in charge of an operation to get secret files. When the operation fails and her men are found dead, the fingerprints of Jason Bourne are found on the scene. She starts investigating him and then finds that Bourne is also after them.

The Setting
India, Berlin, Russia, Switzerland, and some in the US.

The Plot
The film opens with a CIA operation gone wrong. Someone comes in and kills the CIA agents and plants a fingerprint of Jason Bourne on the scene of the crime. Pamala Landy, the head of the operation immediately wants to know everything about Bourne and why he’d interfere with this operation when he’s been in hiding for two years. Why does this Neski file have so much importance to him? She begins to go after Bourne and uses the help of Ward Abbott, who was the head of the CIA group Bourne was in. Abbot seems increasingly uneasy during the whole time they’re looking for Bourne.
Bourne, meanwhile, is in Goa, India with Marie, his love from the last film. He notices one day someone who shouldn’t be there and finds out he’s been found. Marie and Bourne try to escape and almost make it, but Marie is unfortunately killed and Bourne is suspected dead. Bourne goes on a mission to find those who are after him since he only wants to be left alone. He finds out he was set up for the murder and now has to deal with the ones who suspect him of the murder and of the ones who sets him up. An action film of the highest degree follows in Bourne’s pursuit.

Movie Review
The first movie was a great action film that put more emphasis on the character than the action and the action was a result of the character, not the other way around. This movie improves on everything the first movie did. This is a great action flick and Matt Damon does an excellent job as the secret agent who can think on his feet and uses lateral thinking to get out of trouble. He has a calm demeaner in all he does makes him appear to be the perfect agent. The storyline is pretty good too, just Bourne out for revenge on those who did this too him. What I really loved about this movie is the camera work and the quick edits. It shows that confussion that Bourne is going through throughout the whole film. Really a great job to get the viewer as confused as Bourne is. Some may call it distracting, but I call it fitting and apt. Matt Damon does a great job as Jason Bourne and this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat for the two hours. I would be remiss not to mention Julia Stile’s role in the film. She was in the first one in a very minor role and I am pretty pleased she showed up in this one too. She’s not too big a star to not be in it, though this probably made more money than any of her movies did. She had a bigger role, but really she was on screen for like 20 minutes, max. In what has been a summer of awesome sequels (Shrek 2, Spider-Man and Harry Potter 3), this hits another one out of the ballpark as it is better than the original.
