Wednesday Comics #11
-Batman- Luna fires her gun at Bats and tries to make her escape after basically explaining her whole crime. This is getting from point A to B nicely. 1/1.
-Kamandi- Kamandi and his pals seem to be successful until the woman (Orora) is shot down by an ape sniper. Could she be lost forever? Stay tuned for next week! 2/2.
-Superman- Superman battles an alien when he remembers Lois is all alone and the aliens could be after her. He’s off to the rescue. This is the most improved title of the whole bunch 3/3.
-Deadman- Deadman escapes from Kalak (whose gone) and reveals the woman to not be as wholesome as she once appeared and she has evil undertones, too. This keeps adding new wrinkles to the story. 4/4.
-Green Lantern- Green Lantern fights off the aliens in a great visual story. 5/5.
-Metamorpho- Metamorpho and Urania are not dead (they were pretending) and they are able to stop the evil elemental man and the pyramid, with the Star of Atlantis, starts crumbling down. 6/6.
-Teen Titans- Trident is revealed to be Deathstroke and it seems Gizmo altered his mind to have him really believe he was Trident and avoid mental blocks that caused his defeat to the Titans before. But, the Titans are not gone yet! 7/7.
-Strange Adventures- Korgo is on Earth as a museum display and Strange just explains how the Zeta-Beam works again. 8/8.
-Supergirl- Supergirl fights off the aliens spilling their cosmic junk into the sun (and thus threatening the whole world) and is momentarily stunned. She sees the super-pets coming to the rescue, too. This continues its fun streak 9/9.
-Metal Men- The Metal Men continue trying to stop and contain Chemo. This was serviceable and it sets up for a conclusion next issue. 10/10.
-Wonder Woman- Wonder Woman meets her strange assailant and calls on an old spider-friend that was tied up in the lasso before for help. This is just really cool. 11/11.
-Sgt. Rock- Rock and Easy Co. finally meet up! It only took 11 issues! This is just such a MANLY story. 12/12.
-Flash- The Flash tries to save Iris but is perilously close to losing her. This is another “short one” this week as we set up for the conclusion. 13/13.
-Demon & Catwoman- Whatever.
-Hawkman- Hawkman continues fighting the dinosaur when Aquaman shows up. I had no idea this would turn into a Hawkman fights a Dinosaur story. 13/15.
-The Bottom Line- This was a weird issue. These seemed to have a lot of “short” stories, or stories that didn’t get a lot of information out there and really just set up minor points for next week’s conclusion. I guess we’ll see how all this ends and I hope that each features a suitable conclusion.
