Issue #2 is a lot shorter and cheaper than the debut issue, clocking in at 67 pages for $6.99. This is dated Feb/Mar of 2008. There were two covers to choose from, a Tim Sale drawn Nathan Petrelli cover or the Masi Oka photo cover. I chose the Oka cover. They have the regular Heroes blurbs to start off, including Origins getting axed and Season Two shortened due to the strike. This is a fun 6-pages of things going on to the actors who are in Heroes. There’s a pretty Masi Oka interview, Claire’s Top Ten Grossest Injuries (nothing we haven’t seen before), a Jimmy Jean-Louis interview that is also pretty decent, posters of Hayden and Milo, a look at the special abilities in Heroes which I found kind of boring though it does have a list of all the characters and their powers. There’s a final interview with Zachary Quinto a one-page short interview with Jack Coleman and an indepth look at the first episode, Genesis. The “semi-regular” look at certain episodes was very good and the longer interviews I enjoyed as well.

-The Bottom Line- Overall the actual content was a lot better than the debut issue. It is still a rip-off in terms of money spent to amount of pages you get, especially when ads take out about 10-12 pages off the total count. I liked it better than the debut, but I still don’t know if it is worth it for casual fans. I will pick it up since I love the show but still, take a pass on this for now.
