Wizard #179 came out a few weeks ago and I just have to say, the new format is not to my liking at all. At least with the old format I could fit into a regular long box but now that is not possible. Also, I notice on the bottom it says: The Magazine of Comics, Entertainment and Pop Culture. I feel they are trying to move away from the comic aspect of their magazine and make it more entertainment. They took out one of my favorite sections where they talk about the comics coming out each month and now just review the upcoming TPB's. It's really a change for Wizard and although change isn't bad, this one is not good. The new format is one thing (and I could forgive that) but moving away from the comic aspect is something they didn't need to do. At least Toyfare is sticking to its guns.
