Futurama Volume 4
Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month since I last posted a DVD review on here. I will be honest, I was little overwhelmed in May with the end of the spring semester of St. John's a mini-class I did that ate up work, the end of the teaching year and a trip to Boston sandwiched between there. So, I haven't really been able to post reviews, although I was able to finish three of them in that time, so I should be okay for the rest of June. Today's entry is the last volume of Futurama episodes and it is by far my favorite collection. Volume 4 just had some all time classic episodes with amazing writing and it was just the full package. I was a little sad to be watching the end of the Futurama on TV, but luckily, the DVD release was in my possession as well, and will be posted on here in the coming weeks. I actually almost ran out of DVD's, as I only had Family Guy Blue Harvest and New Frontier left to review, but luckily a new shipment arrived today to keep me occupied over the summer. What movies are they? We'll, you will just have to wait and see!!
Also, the Red Wings won, as I predicted, though the Pens put up a much better fight than I expected. I predict Pens will take it all next year. In other sports news, the College Softball World Series was fun to watch and Arizona State was just unbeatable. Ivanovic just won the French Open in a decent match and I hope Federer can pull it off tomorrow and complete the career Grand Slam. Nadal looks too good on clay and Nadal has to be the favorite right now.

Traveling Wilbury's
I usually do these on Saturdays but I needed the weekend off to just relax. See, teaching is now officially done until September and with two days of testing, it was a very tiring week. Throw in a dinner party on Friday that lasted a few hours, I was bushed this weekend. Saturday I relaxed and recharged my batteries, Sunday was Father's Day and so I called my dad and even went to a Mets game. I want to hit both Shea and Yankee Stadium one more time before they close and it looks like I am half done with that mission. Anyway, I polished off another DVD review this past Thursday and am finishing up another today. Luckily, I just got a new shipment in of some cool stuff from Amazon that I look forward to reviewing in the near future. Today's newly posted review comes from the Traveling Wilbury's CD/DVD collection. It collect Vols. 1 and 3 on CD and includes a DVD (which they called Vol. 3) and it is one of the best DVDs ever included in a CD release. You can read the review here. That's all for now. I will be watching the US Open today and it was amazing to see Tiger hit that birdie shot when it counted. Lakers look done in a Finals match-up that is definitely marquee but I find myself oddly uninterested in. I'm done rambling now, enjoy the week.

Futurama: Bender's Big Score
Well, I plum forgot to post last week, so sorry. Anyway, the newest DVD review to be posted is none other than Futurama: Bender's Big Score. It is the first of four new Futurama movies that continues where the series left off. It was great to see the guys at Futurama back at it again.
In other news, Wimbledon is in full swing and as of this writing, a lot of big names have gone down, including Ivanovic and Sharapova on the women's side and Djokovic, Blake, Roddick and Davydenko on the men's draw. I was shocked a lot of them lost, but Djokovic deserved it, especially with the smack he's talking about Federer. Nadal and Federer never really talk smack like that and Djokovic has an arrogance to him that is off-putting. The NBA finals also ended during this time, and the Celtics won in impressive fashion, and finally Tiger Woods is just amazing, winning the US Open on a bum leg.
