Superman: Doomsday
Up this week is the super awesome animated DVD from DC, Superman: Doomsday. It was all that and a bag of chips if you know what I mean. Other than that not too much is going on. I am still working on Futurama Vol. 3 but I hope to have that done by Sunday. Then it's on to Family Guy Vol. 5. I would be remiss in not mentioning that my birthday is on Tuesday and I can't wait to celebrate by spending four hours in class after a long day's work! Yesss!!!! It sucks but what can you do? I need these classes so I can make more money so it is a necessary evil. Anyway, I will end this the way I ended the last four blogs entries, and hopefully this Sunday will be a happy one, Let's Go Giants!

Full House Season 3
I can't believe that the Giants actually pulled it off! I was totally expecting a Patriots blow-out but amazingly the Giants overcame all odds and pulled of the biggest upset of the 21st Century. I don't know if it's the biggest upset in history (I still it's the Miracle on Ice in 1980) but it was damn close. What a game.
Up this week on the review docket is Full House Season 3. I have three out of the eight seasons completed for Full House but I have to put it on hold for a while. I still have a bunch of DVD's left. I just finished one this past Thursday which will be posted here next week and I got a nice score of DVD's on my birthday. They are some really cool ones. That's enough for this time around, let's hope the end of the writer's strike will mean new episodes of Family Guy, American Dad and Heroes.

Futurama Vol. 3
Howdy everyone! Welcome to another Saturday afternoon DVD-review release! This time Futurama Vol. 3 is being carefully watched by my eyes and it makes its debut on the web just 9 days after I finished the review! Of course, I don't have any other reviews finished so I better finish off the next one in less than 7 days or it seems I'll miss a week! Luckily, I am off the next 5 days from work (thank you February break) so I hope to put at least two to three more reviews away. Thanks for reading, see ya next time!

Family Guy & American Dad 02/17/08
This Sunday saw the debut of two new episodes from Seth McFarlane's two cartoon series and both were slightly underwhelming.
--Family Guy: Back to the Woods--
James Woods returns to wreak havoc on Peter's life. This time he finds Peter's wallet on the floor after a Barry Manilow concert (there is a funny scene setting up the four guys going to the show) and he wants revenge on Peter, so he steals his identity. He literally becomes Peter, lives in his house and does all the other things. Peter is defeated until Brian gives him a good idea, he should steal James' identity to get back at him! Peter does just that, going on the Letterman show and committing career suicide. James Woods has had enough and there is a final confrontation. James is dispatched the same way he was in the first episode he appeared in. This was lacking the comedic punch and strong story of the original Woods episodes. There really weren't any good flashbacks or any relevant B-stories either. Overall, I found it a bit dull. C.
--American Dad: Widowmaker--
American Dad was better than Family Guy tonight, but still wasn't as strong as it normally is. Here Stan goes through therapy (held by Roger) to start opening up to Francine, much like Francine's friend experiences with her husband, a currently missing CIA agent. Things get a little weird when Stan reveals he actually killed the woman's husband! This drives a wedge between the two but this was all one elaborate attempt by Stan to cover for the man who he allegedly killed so he can go off and marry a foreign woman. The main story was just eh, but the Steve/Hayley was great. Hayley kills one of Steve's beloved bees so he oversees a huge hive in order to get revenge. On the fateful day he even dresses like a bee, then all the bees attack him! That was the one really funny moment of the show. There was a crappy little bit in the middle with Roger making the show's 1000th vagina joke then interrupting the show for an award. That was a gag more suited for Family Guy I think. The episode was mediocre at best. B.
Overall, not a strong week for Seth's shows.

Family Guy Volume 5
Well, my vacation has almost come to an end, but luckily during the break I was able to catch up on my DVD reviews. By that I mean I finished this one, finished another one for next week, and will probably finish a third tomorrow. I always like staying a few weeks ahead in case I fall behind in any of the reviews. The review I have for this week is Family Guy Volume 5. It featured the best extras I have ever seen in a Family Guy collection but how did the review fare? I guess that is up to you to read on and find out. That is it for today. Last night I went to a TNA Wrestling event with some people from school and it is the first time I've actually watched an event live since I was in college, and the first time I have watched wrestling at all in about 5 years. It was fun, I may write a bit about it later if I am feeling up to it! If not, this is the only mention it will get!
