Sideshow Collectibles
This is an interesting DVD review being posted, it's a promotional disc of Sideshow Collectibles. It's not at plebian as you would think. Anyway, I am currently working on two DVD reviews, one movie and one WWE review. I now have no less than 16 WWE collections to review, including all the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania Anthologies, which are 5 discs each. Yeah, look for those next year! I am also looking forward to Heroes Season 2, which I will work on as soon as I get it instead of doing them in order. That's all for now, if anything interesting happens this week I will post, if not, see you next week!

A Concert For George
I don't often review concerts or DVDs with concerts on them, but George Harrison, or any of the Beatles, are an exception. I've already done Concert for Bangla Desh and now I unleash upon you, A Concert for George, the tribute concert held a year after George's untimely passing. This one is a treat, containing both the concert and the theatrical release. You can just guess what my thoughts on the DVD were.
In other news, the Olympics are on full blast and I thought I wouldn't watch the hours of footage NBC has on, but I find myself watching everything, from archery to volleyball to synchronized diving to water polo, I just love watching any sport. Yes, even badminton. In a completely unrelated sentance, I am currently working on two massive DVD reviews, both at the same time. One is Return of the King Extended Edition, and its bad enough the movie is over 4 hours long, but there are 4 commentaries to get through as well. And then the two discs of extras. In a slightly less difficult review, I have the Royal Rumble Anthology Vol. 1 review, with the first 5 Royal Rumbles. Those clock in at about 2:30 each, so I have my work cut out for me. Luckily, I have 7 DVD reviews in the bag to get me through September before I have to finish one of these two!

American Dad Volume 3
Well, another week has come and gone, and with the school year getting increasingly closer I hope for the days to get longer so I can enjoy these last two weeks as much as I can. Luckily I have been filling my days with as many fun things as possible, including reviews (I banged out a bunch of WWE DVD reviews these past two weeks) and just general relaxation. I have a more recent DVD review posted today, that of American Dad Vol. 3. I finished this one less than a month ago, and since that time I've finished 6 more (5 of them WWE reviews, which I seem to do very quickly). I am working on The Return of the King Extended Edition review, and I hope to have it done by the time school starts. Of course, all these DVD reviews will take a back seat when I get Heroes at the end of August. Luckily its only 4-discs and I should have it done by the season premiere at the end of September. At least I have something to look forward to this November.

WWE: History of the WWE Title
I told you you I had recently gotten more WWE DVDs, and this was actually the first one I finished. Of course, now that I have the Wrestlemania Anthology, a lot of these matches will be repeated in later reviews, but luckily, I am a good cut and paster. Anyway, this DVD, The History of the WWE Title, takes a look at the history of the WWE title. You can read what I think about the DVD by clicking on the link. This is the last DVD I finished in July, and in August alone I finished 7 DVD reviews, including two 5-disc collections, and I hope to polish off another three before Septermber so I have a nice lot of reviews to post weekly while the tumultuous school year begins.
In other fronts, I am kind of saddened to see the Olympics end. I was really enjoying staying up late and watching all the different sports (and I watch them all, from handball to volleyball to gymnastics to swimming) and I don't know what can fill that sports void between now and the start of the Volleyball season in September and hockey in October. I am not a big baseball fan, and the Yankees are sucking anyway so I have no incentive to watch them, so I guess it'll be more wrestling. I still can't watch the current product, but I love these classic collections I've been picking up. I've rambled enough, see ya next week!

WWE Presents: World's Greatest Managers
Well, it's the end of August. I can't believe it, the summer is really over, and I go back to school in just a few short hours. With the impending school year coming I knew I had to finish the Return of the King Extended Edition DVD before going back, since it is such a massive collection that there was no way it would be done in any expedited manner once I get to lesson planning and grading. So that albatross is off my neck, as of about 20 minutes ago. Well, I should stop with the LOTR stuff since there are 9 DVD reviews to post before posting that one. The first of those DVD reviews is WWE Presents: World's Greatest Managers. It's a single-disc set focusing on the managers of the WWE, mostly the classic ones from the 80's. I finished this one in about a day, so it was a shortie. As I said, I have 9 DVD reviews finished, which gives me a nice cushion in case I fall behind during the course of the school year, which I am sure I will. I do still plan on doing 2-3 DVD reviews a week, which is pretty ambitious, but they seem to be short ones. We'll see how that goes. Happy Labor Day everyone.
