Long Way Home
Well, I'm all set up in the apartment now. Phone is up, computer is up and running, cable is in place. It took a while for everything to fall into place, but it's over. I'm now fully sufficient to stay here. It's weird. I'm completely gone from home. None of my things are there anymore. I went into my old room the other day and it was completely empty! That was odd to see! Well, I don't have much to say right now. I have a job lined up and soon will be working. Don't worry, I'll update regularly now!

When the lights, go down, in the city.
Well, well, well. I assume all two or three of you who read this know about the power outtage since in all likelihood you ALSO lived through it. I just have a few thoughts on it though, and I just feel like writing now, since I haven't blogged extensively in like forever and a half.
--How long before people start wearing these gay, corny shirts saying, "I survived the blackout of '03"
--Speaking of gay, does it make me homo for quoting Journey in my title?
--In all seriousness, did anyone else miss Smackdown?
--Or the Yankees
In a really seriousness note now: Some woman on the radio compared the blackout to 9/11 and commented by saying (I paraphrase here:) "At least on 9/11 they had some trains running." Ok there are SO MANY things wrong with that statement. First off, whoever had the audacity to say this is obviously a selfish, self-centered bitch. She was making the point that at least she could get home on 9/11. The fucking selfish person was SOOOO inconvenienced by the lack of electricity for ONE DAY. ONE DAYYYY! on 9/11 approximately 4,000 people died. 4,000 people lost there lives in a single event. Oh but she just cares about going home. Thanks lady, you're inconvenienced for A day. Last I checked, no one died yesterday. No one was really affected in a negative way. People in fact went outside and enjoyed the weather more than they would, people walked home which is more excersize than they've gotten the previous 4 months. I think that if she was in the WTC the day it happend she wouldn't be saying the same thing. The families of the people who had to walk home would rather walk home due to a blackout than relive the pain and terror of 9/11. This fucking asshole should take a step back and think before she makes hideous, absurd and completely dispicable. Thank you very much.
Anyways, I started work tonight (its at a movie theater, or theatre depending on where you live). Its definitely not much, but it pays the bills. I hope to work here till I get a real job in January (DON'T I WISH!). I have also been doing this off-campus recruiting thing and it's been very helpful.
Well, I'm a bit tired, and there's a big party tomorrow and odds are 3:2 that I get inebriated. Place bets at the window, please. Goodnight all!
